The Jeep Compass will be getting a sunroof. Yes, we have confirmed news that Jeep Compass with sunroof will be launched by this festive season. Dealers are also accepting unofficial pre-bookings for this new upcoming variant.

The American automaker seems to be testing new variants on its newly launched SUV. The vehicle also has been spotted in the past, with a panoramic sunroof, front parking sensors and five-spoke alloy wheels. The Compass is an all new SUV, which is based on Fiat’s SCA extended platform. 

The Compass was launched with a 2.0-litre multijet diesel engine and later a 1.4-litre MutiAir petrol engine variant also was launched. This engine churns about 155bhp of power and it comes with six-speed manual on the Sport variant, which is the base model. The Limited variant gets a seven-speed DCT automatic gearbox. There is no 4×4 on this variant.

The Jeep Compass has been selling well and is regarded as a premium SUV. However, there has been a little disappointment amongst buyers for lack of some feature like sunroof and cruise control. Jeep has been working on providing additional features and this is heartening to see. The company seems serious and has been experimenting with more features on this SUV.

A new variant – Trailhawk with advanced 4×4 and a nine-speed automatic transmission is also slated to be launched later. This will be a diesel automatic, which was missing in the line-up.

The sunroof on the Compass has been spied some time back. Spy images of the Compass were taken by a Team-BHP reader. The SUV will also get front parking sensors in the update. Sunroof is a feature which is demanded by many car buyers. It has become a style statement and this feature has been responsible for catapulting the sales of some car models, recently.
