These are the images from the Anantapur plant, which is already under construction. Kia is Hyundai’s sister concern company and it has been looking at entering India for a while.

This plant is being located in Anantapur, as it isn’t too far from Hyundai’s Tamil Nadu plant and the duo can share their vendors as well. As Kia and Hyundai will be sharing the same set of platforms, it will make it strategically easy for the duo to come up together. Kia Motors is speculated to get a Creta, Elite i20 and XCent competition vehicles. In the near future, there will even be Verna size sedan and also something as small as the Eon too.

Kia’s initial goal will be to set-up its network and get lesser new products. Kia has already been doing dealer roadshows to showcase its new vehicles.

These brands are looking at localising their products and introducing in India. This will make them an exciting product for the Indian car market.
