The Mahindra KUV100 is the only ultra compact SUV in the country. The facelift of this entry level SUV is called the Mahindra KUV100NXT. It has been launched at ₹4.82 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai). This micro SUV, as one may call it, has not seen much success, as it was expected to have done better. Though the vehicle is good on a few counts, it felt short when compared to its competition. Mahindra has improved the KUV100 this time with a facelift which is the Mahindra KUV100 NXT. There are some cosmetic changes to the vehicle and also the addition of a few more features. Mahindra claims to have added 40 new features and enhancements to this vehicle.
The KUV100 though had great expectations, it failed to catch the fancy of buyers. Mahindra is looking at attracting new buyers with this facelift. The Mahindra KUV100 NXT now gets revised styling. This include new headlamps, a new front grille and a new bumper. The fog lamps also are new. To make it look more premium, the KUV100 NXT gets black interiors. Thought the basic design of the car is the same, it gets styling updates to enhance its appeal. New tail lamps are now seen on the KUV100 NXT. A new set of alloy wheels also make a difference to its looks.
The interiors also are revamped. This include new seat fabrics, more features like a touchscreen audio system, Automatic AC and also better cladding inside. The engines will remain the same. These are a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.2-litre diesel engine. The driveability and refinement may be improved in the pertrol version.

The Mahindra KUV100 NXT gets cosmetic changes to its exteriors. The styling of the vehicle is now improved. The new front end is more attractive now and has better styling cues. It looks sportier. New headlamps, tailamps and new alloy wheels add some more glamour to the vehicle. There are also a couple of new body colours introduced, to make it attractive.

The interior of the Mahindra KUV100 NXT are the same. However, it gets new interior colour theme, which is black. This theme makes it look more sporty. The dahsboard and instrument cluster are the same. There is new upholstery now in the car. The dashboard and door pads have better touch and feel. The centre console sees the addition of a new touchscreen audio system. This will have features like navigation, apart from bluetooth. The three seating option at the front is now standard.

The specifications of the KUV100 NXT see no change. It is the same as the earlier model. The three cylinder petrol and diesel engines continue to power this micro SUV. The micro-hybrid technology comes in this now, which is a start stop function. Mahindra is trying to offer better economy from these engines. The engines are more refined and the NVH levels are also improved now. The engines get new mounts that reduce vibrations.
The engines of the KUV100 are the same. There won’t be much of difference in fuel efficiency. The ARAI certified mileage is 18.15 km/l and 25.32 km/l for the petrol and diesel versions, respectively. However, in real driving conditions, it will overall return 14km/l for petrol and 18km/l for diesel.
