Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) is one such company that will be revealing their new line up of products that will be introduced in the Indian market. Honda has been doing very well recently in the motorcycle segment as well. In scooters Honda maintains its dominance and is also targeting newer geographies with the launch of the Cliq. We bring you a list of bikes and scooters that Honda will be showcasing at the Auto Expo 2018 . Honda Metropolitan

Honda Metropolitan will be the next big attraction Auto Expo 2018. This scooter is also sold in American markets. It is also sold in some South East Asian markets. The Scoopy in India will have the same engine as the Activa 4G. This engine has a max power of 8bhp and a torque of 9Nm. Honda will aim at the markets created by Vespa and also the Yamaha Fascino. This will mark a new chapter in Honda’s plan.

Honda PCX 150

The Honda PCX 150 will be one of the major attractions at the Auto Expo 2018. It was also showcased at the last Auto Expo but now will get some upgrades.  The PCX will be a segment first scooter if launched in India. Other manufactures may follow on the same lines. The PCX is fitted with a153cc, single-cylinder, SOHC liquid-cooled engine. It also has a PGM-FI fuel injection system.This scooter also has a navigation system and an anti theft alarm system.  The Honda PCX 150 will be a first of its kind scooter in India.

 

Honda CBR300RR

The CBR300R will come in as a replacement to the existing CBR250R. The CBR205R was quite popular but lately has lost to rivals and hasn’t seen any action lately.   The bike is no longer available for sale. The CBR300R is the bike that will take the mantle from the CBR250R and move the legacy forward in this segment. It is larger and more premium. It will have a 286cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injection engine with a power output of 30bhp and a torque of 27 Nm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.

Honda CBR650F 2018

The Honda CBR650F will now come in its new generation. This bike was unveiled last year and now Honda is now planning to launch it in India next year. It will replace the existing bike. The new CBR650F has the same engine and transmission however, it gets a modification in the intake and exhaust.  The power that it produces is 89bhp and the torque is at 62 Nm. It will come fitted with 41mm Showa forks at the front and a seven-step adjustable monoshock suspension at the rear. ABS will be standard on the bike.

 

Honda XRE300

Honda XRE300 will be launched nect year in the Indian market, After the withdrawal of the Hero Impulse, there was a serious lack of off road bikes in the country. The buyers in this category were left stranded. However, Honda is bringing some good news to this segment. The Honda XRE300 will appeal to off-road enthusiasts. This dual purpose bike will have a 291cc, DOHC, single-cylinder engine that will have a power of 25bhp and a torque of 27.6Nm. It will be a good performer.

Honda CB Hornet 160R Fairing

The Honda CB Hornet 160R will get a fairing version. This new bike will compete with Suzuki Gixxer SF. It will try to eat into its market share. While there is no difference in the engine, there may be some teaks to improve rideability. The pricing will also be identical to the Gicxxer SF which is around INR 95000. This will make the Hornet more attractive as well and win back more customers.

The Honda 150SS Racer will be debuting at the Auto Expo 2018. This will come in the segment where the CBR150R operates. Honda is looking at getting this bike to India. The engine is the same 149.4cc, single-cylinder unit that powers the CBR150R.
