New Renault Duster 2018 interior images revealed!

Images of the 2018 Renault Duster have been leaked. This comes just after the Renault Duster 2018 was revealed. We have shared the images of the same earlier and this time we get to see what the interiors of the new Duster will look like. The Renault Duster is about to be updated. This workhorse from the French manufacturer has a big fan following in India. The Duster was quick to make a place in the hearts of customers soon after its launch in the Indian market. It has sold many numbers since. Customers have liked the practicality, utility, robustness and affordability that the Duster brought in. In many manners this vehicle was an example to other on building an affordable yet robust SUV. Lately however, the Duster sales have slowed down. Partially due to other rivals like the Creta coming up and also due to the advent of other compact SUVs like Ford Ecosport and Maruti Vitara Brezza. The other reason for the Renault Duster 2018 was the dated design of the current Duster that was beginning to show its age.

Renault has taken cognizance of that and will get the new version of this SUV which will be the Renault Duster 2018. The Duster 2018 will be a five-seater vehicle and there is also a seven-seater version planned. The seven-sear will be called Grand Duster most likely, however, there is no official confirmation yet.  For India, the Duster will continue to use the B0 platform that is the base of the current Duster. This will help the company save costs as the upcoming Renault Captur is also based on the same platform. The new Duster will get an upgraded diesel engine and also a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine shall do duty here. A better fuel efficiency is expected this time from the SUV, both in petrol and diesel versions.

New Renault Duster 2018 Interior

The interiors will see a major change this time. They will be more functional and modern. The interior colour theme will be vibrant. The dashboard will be all-new and the fit and finish will be better. It will also be funky as compared to the plain one on the current Duster. The Duster will also get features that generally do not come in this segment. The steering wheel will be all-new and will get controls for audio, bluetooth and cruise control too. It will be a four spoke wheel. There will be a large touchscreen with MirrorLink, Android Auto and Apple Car Play. It will also feature a reverse camera. The top end variants will come equipped with automatic climate control. There will be three circular AC vents in the centre instead of two.

The Renault Duster 2018 will offer the same space as the current one, which is good news. This is because the Duster is a spacious vehicle that offers good rear legroom as well. It will have rear AC vents too this time. The boot was always spacious and will continue to be.

New Renault Duster 2018 Launch Date in India

The Renault Duster 2018 is likely to come to India by the second half on 2018. This will be the right time for the new Duster to come in. Renault is currently revamping its line-up and is preparing to launch the Captur SUV, which will be positioned above the Duster.

New Renault Duster 2018 Price in India

The 2018 Renault Duster will be priced similar to what it is currently. Renault would not not want to increase the prices. In fact it will look at competing with sub-4 metre SUVs in the market. It will cost between ₹ 9.5 Lakhs to ₹ 14.5 lakhs (on-road).

New Renault Duster 2018 Design

The Duster’s basic design architecture will remain unchanged. it will still retain all the elemnts of a robust looking SUV. The main difference will be in the treatment of the front and rear end, which will look all new. The front will look much more sleeker and stylish, while being very attractive. The front diamond finish grille continues end to end and incorporated the headlamps. The headlamps are similar to the current duster, however the shape is more sleek now and they are wrap-around ones. There will also be LED daytime running lights embedded into them. The is a prominent cladding on the bumper that makes the SUV look tough. The bonnet is now much more muscular and endorses the SUV DNA of the Duster. The wing mirrors are also all-new and sleeker now. The wheels arches are flared up in a much better fashion now. The roof rails are much more prominent and look purposeful. Large 16-inch alloy wheels make the ground clearance higher.

There is not much difference when viewed from the side. It does get body cladding that extends to the front fender. The door handles are new but they are still not the grab type ones. The rear of the Renault Duster 2018 gets more attractive now. It gets new taillamps which resemble those of the Jeep Renegade. Overall the New Duster looks much more contemporary and stylish, at the same time it retains its tough look heritage.

New Renault Duster 2018 Colours

The Duster 2018 is expected to come in six colour options, which include Black, White, Silver, Grey, Brown and Green colours. The exact shades will be revealed later.

New Renault Duster 2018 Engine & Transmission

The new Renault Duster 2018 will get a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol and the existing 1.5-litre diesel engine. A six-speed manual transmission and AMT will continue to be offered as well. The petrol version will be priced aggressively and is expected to attract buyers. Renault will have an advantage in pricing due to the excise duty benefits accrued due to the small capacity engine. The diesel will remain the same and will continue to be offered in the same avatar, however, with some tweaks. An AWD version will also be offered in the Duster.  The new petrol engine is likely to be mated to a six-speed manual and AMT as well.

There will be a six-speed manual and even a six-speed AMT for the new Duster. This will be the more affordable SUV from the French car maker. This should be common across the board for both the engines. There will even AWD version on the new Duster 2017, this will enhance its ability to go off the road as well.

The diesel will be the 1.5-litre version that will churn about 108 bhp of power and will offer good mileage when compared to the more powerful version. If priced aggressively, the Duster may win back a lot of buyers once again.
