What is the recall about?

The recall comes with backdrop of several complaints received from customers. The issue was with the instrument cluster. The clock on the digital console was non-functional in many bikes.

Customers of these bikes have been notified by Honda dealerships to bring in the bikes with this problem. The service station will have the bike thoroughly checked. Faulty instrument clusters will be changed free of cost. This will not affect the warranty and this recall also encompasses bikes out of warranty. This inspection will be free of cost and the customers will not be charged anything for the check-up.

Owners of these bikes can make prior bookings at a Honda service station nearest to them. This will avoid inconvenience to the owners and will ease out the rush at service stations. The CB Unicorn and CB Hornet 160R both have been successful models from Honda and have a high fan following. It was a prudent move by Honda to have decided to recall the bikes to solve this issue. HMSI has been performing good and their sales have grown in the last quarter. There has also been a rise in their exports.

If you are a Unicorn or Hornet 160R customer, then you can login to HMSI’s website and get your bike registered for the inspection.
