Bajaj Adventure new off-roader in the making

Bajaj had recently announced its intension to introduce the adventure version of its 400cc bike. This new motorcycle is likely to be launched as Bajaj Adventure. Based on the Dominar platform, this will be the company’s second bike that will be getting this engine option.

Even KTM is getting its 390 Adventure to India but that will be in 2019. Bajaj is keen to introduce an all new cateogry of motorcycles even before KTM gets its off-roader. This bike is likely t be called as the Bajaj Adventure.

Bajaj Adventure Price

We are expecting aggressive pricing for the Adventure also, just like the Dominar. This should be in the range of INR 1.7 lakhs to INR 2.1 lakhs (on-road). Bajaj will have to be go aggressive on the pricing to attract more buyers, especially those who are looking to get into the premium segment. For the time being, there is no player with a serious off-roader in this segment, expect the RE Himalayan. But as the numbers for this aren’t very high we do not expect it to compete with the Dominar.

Bajaj Adventure Launch Date

This new 373cc bike won’t be launched anytime before early 2018. That is when we expect Bajaj to get this new bike in India as the company will be looking at introducing an all-new bike next year, maybe around Auto Expo.

Bajaj Adventure Design

In terms of styling, the Adventure will have a new design language. Maybe some similarities to the Bajaj Pulsar AS family, but for sure a lot more aggressive. The bike shall boast about its high ground clearance.

It will come loaded with all the features that are on offer on the Dominar. This will include LED headlamp and tail lamp, there shall be daytime running LEDs on offer as well. The instrument cluster is likely to be digital. Then there shall be the long suspension travel for better off-roading.

Bajaj Adventure Engine

The same 373cc engine will be powering the Bajaj Adventure. This will be coming with a 34bhp of power and close to 35Nm of maximum torque. This engine will be a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled one. At the same time, there shall be good about space on offer.

The engine will have good amount of torque and this will be more than sufficient to offer good amount of performance on bad roads.
