Hero MotoCorp has discontinued nine of its bikes, for which it paid royalty to Honda.

The nine bikes that are discontinued are Hero Hunk, Hero Xtreme, Hero Karizma, Hero Ignitor, Hero Passion Pro TR, Hero Passion XPro, Hero HF Dawn, Hero Splendor iSmart and the Hero Splendor Pro Classic. All of these will no longer be manufactured by the company.

But Hero has promised to introduce a minimum of six new products in this fiscal year. This will be including the performance bike Xtreme 200S, which was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo.

The other one will be a premium scooter 125cc one, maybe the Dare, which was showcased in 2014. This will help Hero to enter new segments. The company spokesperson even stated the brand will be launching new models across segments. This will help them to tap into newer markets.

Apart from this, Hero will be setting up a new plant in Bangladesh also. This will help them tap into another market and enhance its reach. The Indian bike maker has been growing rapidly and it will continue to offer exciting products in the near future from what the promises look like.
