New Nissan Micra 2017 is here, it gets many changes, and is a facelift. While other markets have got the new-generation Micra, Nissan has given it minor upgrades to make it look stylish and fresh. The Micra was launched in India in 2010 and since then it has been getting updates. The Sunny and the Terrano also got updates very recently.

There are some changes on the outside and there is a new colour on offer too. The new Micra doesn’t have multiple changes. The new Micra gets some more features now. There are some additional bells and whistles along with a few cosmetic changes on the inside.

There are two engine options available, 1.

2-litre petrol engine that produces about 75bhp of power and the other option is the 1.5-litre diesel engine. This mill produces about 65bhp of power. The petrol comes only with a CVT option and the diesel has a 5-speed manual.

New Nissan Micra 2017 Price

The price of the new Micra 2017 base model starts at INR 6.3 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The top model goes up to INR 7.60 lakhs. Now only the petrol is made available in XV variant, while the diesel comes only in XL variant option.

New Nissan Micra 2017 Changes

There are some additional features on offer in the new Micra 2017. To begin with, it now gets auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers and ‘lead me to car features’. These have been newly-added features in the New Micra augment. The interiors now accentuates the car’s black theme with piano black finish accompanied by orange accents on the seats, dashboard and arm rest. The 2-DIN music system is a standard feature across all variants and this even gets Bluetooth connectivity.

There is no touchscreen infotainment system on offer in the Micra. The steering wheel is new and so are the buttons on it for controlling audio. The other features on offer include steering mounted controls, push stop start and i-key.

New Nissan Micra 2017 Engine and Transmission

The New Micra will be available with a choice of two powertrains – a 1.2-litre petrol engine mated to X-Tronic CVT Automatic transmission, or a 1.5-litre diesel paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol engine no longer gets the manual version as that has been made available on the Micra Active itself.

The ARAI claimed figured for the Micra petrol is 19.03km/l, while that for diesel is 23.

08 km/l. In the real world, the Micra petrol will return close to 12km/l in the city and 15km/l on the highway.

On the other hand, the diesel should retun about 18km/l in the city and 20km/l on the highway.
