The Honda Unicorn 2017, which is an all new bike is in the making.The Unicorn 2017 is rumoured to be coming to India this year. Honda has been doing well in the motorcycle segment recently, and they would want to bring in their first bike in India with some more panache. The 2017 Honda Unicorn is likely to look more stylish and aggressive than it has ever been. The design will undergo a major change and the bike will be launched this year. 2017 Honda Unicorn Launch Date

We expect the new bike to be launched by this festive season. This will be the ideal time to introduce the 2017 Honda Unicorn. Honda will take on its competition in a more aggressive manner.

2017 Honda Unicorn Price

The 2017 Unicorn will not see a major change in the pricing. It will be priced around INR 80,000 (on-road). This time the Unicorn will be more value for money as it will look much better and also get some more features. With a BSIV engine, Auto Headlamp On and a Digital instrument cluster it will add better value for sure.

2017 Honda Unicorn Design

The New Unicorn will be sportier than the current one. It will carry loads of style too.  The fascia will be all-new and will look sharper. A large headlamp will be seen on this bike and also a small windshield which will be cut sharply. There are a lot of cuts and edges on the mud guard and even the fuel tank. The fuel tank is very well chiseled one and has modern looks. The handle bars will be similar to the existing bike and also the seating stance will be similar. Then the tail lamps are also expected to be in H shape, but with some change in the design. They will be different form the one seen on the Hornet. The dimensions of the Unicorn will be almost the same. The dimension are perfect and Honda will not like to change that. A styling change is what it needed badly!

The Unicorn will be underpinned by the same platform. It won’t change and it will be continued to be offered as this is quite a rugged platform. So, yes the new Honda Unicorn will be made available by this year end. Honda has already announced it will be launching two new bikes and two scooters to continue the 20% growth in India.

2017 Honda Unicorn Engine and Transmission

This will come with a new 150cc engine that will be a BS-IV compliant engine. This new engine should churn about 12.73bhp of power and it will come with a maximum torque of 12.8Nm. It will be good to ride and smoother than before. A good torque spread would ensure minimal gearshifts. The 2017 Honda Unicorn will have more than sufficient power and torque to ride comfortably in the city and even on the highway at about 80km/hr. This is a very comfortable bike and the engine doesn’t need a lot of pushing to make it power well.

The engine will come with a five-speed transmission. This gearbox is slick and is definitely one of the best boxes around. It doesn’t just have good performance but even is light and easy to use. The traits of the current Unicorn will continue on the 2017 Honda Unicorn as well. 

2017 Honda Unicorn Mileage

There won’t be any change in the mileage of the new Honda Unicorn. This will be the same and it will continue to deliver about 55-60km/l in the city and on the highway. This will be a fuel efficient bike and a good combination of style, performance and fuel efficiency.

This time Honda will ensure that the Unicorn gains lost ground and comes out on top once again.
