Maruti Alto 800 CNG Engine and Specifications

As the name suggests, the Alto 800 CNG is a 800cc engine that comes with CNG kit. As this is CNG powered, it produces lesser power than the regular 800cc petrol engine. The CNG variant of the 796cc engine to produces 40bhp of power and just 60Nm of torque. This doesn’t should a lot but then the Alto doesn’t weigh much and this is good enough for a car of this weight and size. The CNG engine comes with a five-speed manual transmission. There is no AMT available on the CNG 800cc or even on the K10.

The fuel tank capacity of holding water is about 60 litres, which translates to about 8-9 kilograms of CNG. The petrol fuel tank will have a volume of 35 litres.
