Hyundai Grand i10 Prime is here

Hyundai Grand i10 Prime has been launched. In NCR the discount is about INR 60,000 and in Mumbai it is INR 55,000. The old Grand i10 isn’t discontinued, the base model from it is used for the cab market. As Maruti Suzuki is still continuing with the DZire Tour and the Ritz in ride-sharing cab market, Hyundai is looking at penetrating this segment with the Grand i10 Prime and the XCent Prime. Both these are the variants that have been discontinued. The Korean automaker is looking at stripping down the variants and offering minimal and usable features on the duo. Hyundai Grand i10 Prime Design

The Grand i10 Prime will get the same old Grand i10 design. It will be a stripped down version, so it will be getting 13-inch tyres, no fog lamps, black side mirrors and handles and body coloured bumpers. These will be on offer on the Hyundai Grand i10 Prime. We reckon, the car will be made available in white colour itself and there shall be no other options either.

Hyundai Grand i10 Prime Interiors

On the inside also, the Hyundai Grand i10 Prime will not get any of the features. It will have the same interior design, but this shall come without a music system, no steering controls, no keyless entry, no push start and stop on offer. The Grand i10 Prime will have black interiors and it might not even get the rear AC vents also. Today about 7-10 percent of the Grand i10/XCent sales come from the commercial market.

Hyundai Grand i10 Prime Engine and Transmission

A 1.2-litre petrol (with CNG) and a 1.1-litre diesel engine are on offer.

Both these mills come mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Both of them have good enough power for city use and are ideal for daily driving. The clutch is light and the gear shifts are smooth too. This is what makes the Grand i10 Prime a good contender to consider as it is a breeze to drive.

Hyundai Grand i10 Prime Colours

We reckon the Hyundai Grand i10 Prime will be made available only in white colour option. This one will be a basic white, no pearl or metallic touch will be given to it.
