The interior styling of the Ciaz is subtle but feels sophisticated. The black and beige interiors of this sedan makes it feel airy. The Ciaz has a seven-inch touchscreen system. The higher variants get automatic climate control. The steering is shared with other models but it gets a leather wrap as also the gear knob. The top variant gets leather upholstery also. The Ciaz loaded with features like push button start, keyless entry, bluetooth connectivity, navigation, reverse parking camera and sensors.

The interiors of the Vento are simplistic but of good quality. It is not exactly stylish but exudes a premium feel. The Vento also gets a touchscreen system which has bluetooth, navigation and steering mounted controls. The top end variants get leather upholstery. It has rear AC vents as well. There is no push button start here. The Vento is a fairly feature loaded car, nevertheless.

Maruti Ciaz vs Volkswagen Vento Space

The Ciaz is a spacious sedan. There is good head room and leg room both in front and at the rear. The seats are not the best but provide good comfort. It could have done with some more under thigh support. The boot is large at 510 litres and can fit in quite a lot of luggage with ease. This makes it a very practical sedan that can be used for weekend getaways too.

The Vento feels smaller as compare to the Ciaz, but it offers good rear legroom. There are a good number of storage spaces in the Vento too. The bootspace is 494 litres, which is a bit smaller than the Ciaz, but doesn’t make much of a difference in real. The Ciaz is also longer than the Vento and has a longer wheelbase as well.

The Ciaz has a 1.4-litre petrol engine that produces 90bhp and 130Nm of torque. The Ciaz  comes with a 1.3-litre diesel engine with 90bhp and also gets SHVS technology. Now, this is the hybrid start stop system that even has brake regeneration.

The Volkswagen Vento comes with a 1.6-litre petrol engine with 103bhp of power. The second engine is a 1.5-litre diesel with 108bhp of power. Both engines come mated to a five-speed manual and a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission. This is a high point of the Vento over the Ciaz as is offers a more modern automatic transmission both in petrol and diesel variants.

Maruti Ciaz vs Volkswagen Vento Ride and Handling

While the Ciaz is better in terms of space and premium looks, in the ride and handling the Vento comes out as the better one. The suspension setup of the Vento feels more sorted and over all the Vento is better build too. It feels like it will last longer. The Vento also has sharper handling and a better steering response as compared to the Ciaz.

The Maruti Ciaz petrol returns 15 km/l for the manual and 13.5 for the automatic. The diesel returns 27 km/l and this is due to the SHVS technology.

The Vento returns about 12km/l in city for the manual petrol and 9km/l for the automatic. The diesel Manual returns 15m/l and the automatic returns 11km/l. These figures are real world ones and will vary depending on driving conditions.
