Lexus India to launch three new products by March 2017

There have been reports that Lexus will be soon launching its entire product line for India. We reckon this will start with three launches for Lexus India. Lexus will have its own set of dealerships. Of course the company will first approach the existing Toyota dealers to branch out a new showroom as well. At the same time, new dealers too. As per the reports, the Lexus dealerships should be ready by March. Some reports even suggest that 24th March is when the first dealership and new products shall be unveiled. What products to expect? What will be their price range?

Lexus India Launch Date

Lexus brand will be officially announced on 24th March, 2017. This will be the date when the new brand will be launched along with a few select showrooms. Some of these handful dealerships should be ready by March. Some of the vehicles have been imported in India and several customer events have happened. Pre-bookings for these cars are done and several of the cars should be delivered in the first week of the launch.

Lexus India Price List

Lexus will be initially importing all its cars. So, it will be all CBU only. The Lexus ES 300h shall be the most affordable one.

This will be priced at INR 60 lakhs to INR 70 lakhs. The LX 450h should be priced somewhere close to INR 2.5 crore. The RX 450h will be priced between the two. Somewhere about INR 1.2 crore.  All these expected ex-showroom pricing.

Lexus ES 300

This will be the entry-level sedan for Lexus India. This sedan had begun its journey in 1989, when the Lexus brand was born. Since then there has been no looking back. Yes, the complete import means a spike in its pricing, making it cost double. However, it is highly sophisticated on the inside. India could get the hybrid sedan, which will mean that it shall be highly efficient. If the hybrid one comes, it will be called as the ES 300h.

Lexus LX 450d/ LX 570

This will be the large size SUV that will be competing with the Land Cruiser. Based on the platform, this one will be made available with a diesel or a petrol engine. The Lexus shall be more luxurious and it will offer more features than the Land Cruiser. At the same time, it does look more premium too than the Land Cruiser. Lexus India’s flagship model/SUV, which will compete
with the Range Rover.

Lexus RS 450h

This crossover has been generating good sales numbers for Lexus. It will be making its way into India as well. The new Lexus RS 450h will be another hybrid that shall be a crossover. As Lexus brand is pre-dominantly petrol, it will come with a petrol and an electric motor on this crossover for the Indian market.

Lexus India shall be looking at getting hybrids more than diesels.
