TVS Apache RTR 300 is likely to be the name for the TVS Akula 310, which was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. There have been rumours that TVS will want to continue with the same name ahead. This is an all new bike that will be making its way into production sometime soon. The new Apache RTR 300 will be launched in early 2017. Both the TVS and BMW bikes will be built in the TVS Hosur plant. Even though they will be coming off the same plant, both the companies have developed their own versions of the bike. The testing too of these bikes was done separately.

It was recently the new bike was spotted on test. Even though it was completely camouflaged, we could notice the design to be similar to the Akula 310 concept. At the same time, there were subtle changes that made it look a bit different. For instance, the rear fin didn’t seem as sharp as the production version. Maybe due to the camouflage. The LED headlamps were visible. The air induction system also did look similar.

NOTE: TVS has just confirmed that the company hasn’t yet finalised a name. So, this is a rumour. The company will update us on the name as and when they finalise one.
