The new Volkswagen Polo is in the making and so is the Vento. The new VW Vento 2018 is based on the same MQB A0 platform. This is the same platform and it have the same wheelbase like the Polo. The new platform will be more flexible and at the same time even lighter. Volkswagen has been testing the Polo, Vento and even a compact SUV. All three shall be soon unveiled. What does the new Vento 2018 have on offer? We share all the details.

New VW Vento 2018 Launch Date

First comes the new Volkswagen Polo and then its the turn of the Vento. The new VW Vento 2018 should be making its entry into the Indian car market by mid 2018. It won’t be anytime earlier than that.

Again, there won’t be a major change in the pricing from the current Vento. The pricing will be between INR 9.

5 lakhs to INR 14.8 lakhs (on-road). The new Vento will offer more features, making it an even better value for money package.

New VW Vento 2018 Design

The new VW Vento 2018 from its design looks to be more sleek. The spyshots of the new Vento make it difficult to understand the design due t the heavy camouflage. However, the new Vento might have a similar wheelbase like the current one. The C-pillar appears to be thick. The front grille is bigger and the headlamps have LEDs. The new platform will be lighter than the current Vento and this will improve ride and handling. The performance and mileage will also see a bump.

New VW Vento 2018 Engine

The engines that the new Vento will get shall be a 1.2-litre turbo petrol. This will be coming with a five-speed manual and seven-speed DSG.

We aren’t certain if the 1.6-litre petrol engine will be offered on the new Vento. The 1.5-litre diesel will continue further producing 108bhp of power and 250Nm of peak torque. The mill shall also be coming with a five-speed manual and seven-speed DSG.
