MRF launches Masseter performance tyres

MRF has introduced its new range of Masseter Tyres. These are the latest offering from MRF for Two Wheelers. Masseter is a performance tyre as claimed by MRF and it also boasts of being a ‘Cornering specialist’.

 The MRF Masseter Tyre was unveiled at a special event at the Kari race track in Coimbatore and we were one of the few to try out this tyre, first hand, on the race track.

The MRF Masseter is one of the most innovative additions to MRF range of tyres.

 Speaking on the launch, Mr. Koshy Varghese, Executive Vice President Marketing at MRF Ltd said, “The idea was to get people to actually experience what the MRF Masseter tyre can do. When it comes to tyres that are used for cornering, a rider isn’t going to risk sticking to a tyre of average quality. We wanted to simulate an environment where the rider could test the tyre to the hilt but be assured of his safety while doing so.”

Our ride on the race track with the MRF Masseter brought out some worthy aspects of this new tyre. Though we rode with only the rear tyre being a MRF Masseter, the cornering abilities were very impressive. The tyre did its job of sticking to the road well, thereby pushing us to go harder on curves. We also tried it on wet tarmac and the tyre held its grip pretty well. The tyres were brand new and I’m sure with a little more usage, the grip would only become better. The MRF Masseter is a soft compound tyre that enhances the lean angle while banking and also provides superior braking performance.

After an extensive tyre testing session, the MRF Product team addressed the riders and briefed them about the MRF Masseter tyres’ features and benefits. One of the major highlights of the tyre is that all its features like the compound and rounded profile are suited for riders who want something extra in terms of ride and handling.

The MRF Masseter tyre will be manufactured for two-wheelers with a capacity of 150cc and above. MRF has undertaken a lot of research, technology and design innovation to bring out this product. This will compete with other performance tyres in the market. If you are looking at upgrading your motorcycle tyres, you can consider opting for a MRF Masseter.
