TVS X21. What is all about?

The TVS X21, this is an all new concept bike that was showcased at the 2016 Indonesian Motorcycle Show in Jakarta. It had made its debut at the 2016 Auto Expo. This is another bike from the home grown bike maker, TVS Motor. The new X21 concept was displayed along with the Entorq 210 and Akula 310. The new TVS X21 is the lighter version of the Apache RTR 200 4V. The new X21 will l have a lighter chassis, more power and better ride and handling.

TVS X21 Design

The TVS X21 has been developed with all the racing DNA. The company has been into racing for the last 33 years and this has been used to develop this bike.

The X21 will come with a light body and it will even have muscular and sporty design. The new X21 will have multiple special race components such as performance kit, racer levers and even steering damper. This is an all new platform that has been designed for sharp handling and track riding.

TVS X21 Engine

The TVS X21 is a track ready bike. It gets half faired design that will be helpful in improving the bike’s aerodynamics. Then there is a 212cc engine that has four-valves and of course fuel injection. Now, this engine will be producing a lot more power than the current Apache 200 RTR 4V. This is simply due to the fact that this engine will be used in racing. This is more of a concept bike, so it will have better performance when it gets ready for racing. The suspension duties are taken care by telescopic upfront and mono shock gas filled rear set-up.

TVS X21 Features

The TVS X21 has telescopic suspension upfront, while the rear gets mono shock gas filled springs. The digital instrument cluster on the bike looks stylish with speedometer, trip meter, clock, acceleration and even tachometer being digital.

TVS X21 Launch Date

It is a bit too early to predict and difficult as well. This being a purely race track bike, we aren’t certain if it will make it into production. Even if it does, it won’t be before the end of 2017.

TVS will be first getting the new Akula 310, followed by the Entorq range of scooters.

TVS X21 Price

We expect the bike, if it ever makes it into production, to be priced at INR 2 lakhs. This will be expensive due to the parts that go into it. This bike can challenge most of the 300-350cc bikes that are currently available. Those bikes cannot match up with it on bends and in some cases even in a straight line.
