The new Toyota Yaris is making its way into India.

This will be the company’s premium hatchback. Toyota Yaris Price

The Yaris will be priced at INR 7.9 lakhs (on-road) for the base model. The top model will be priced under INR 10 lakhs again, after all the taxes. The new Yaris will be coming to India soon and it will be offered with petrol and diesel engine options.

Toyota Yaris Engine

We expect Toyota to launch the new Yaris in India by mid 2018. So, for 2018, the new Yaris will be coming at the 2018 Auto Expo. That is where the new hatchback will be unveiled most likely. As the work on the new Yaris has already started.

The new Toyota Yaris will be coming with a 1.2-litre petrol engine. This will be the major selling engine as most of the premium hatchback buyers have being preferring petrol engine in this segment. The other engine will be the 1.4-litre diesel. Both the engines will be coming with a five-speed manual and mostly a six-speed automatic or a CVT, which is also used on the Corolla Altis. The new Yaris will come with a CVT on the petrol only not on the diesel. The petrol engine will produce about 80bhp of power and about 110Nm of torque. The diesel will be producing close to 88bhp of power and 200Nm.

Toyota Yaris Design

In terms of design, this will be an all new platform. Toyota has been working on an all new TNGA platform. This will be made in India also. The new design language will be followed on the new Yaris.

The new Prius is also based on the same platform. There will be projector headlamps and daytime running LEDs as well.

Toyota Yaris Interiors

Toyota will be working toward embellishing the Yaris with the best in class features. This hatchback shall get push start and stop, keyless entry, touchscreen system with maps and reverse camera. then there will be other features too like leather seats, cruise control, dual airbags and ABS. Space on the Yaris has already been good and the company will be looking at enhancing its reach with the new-gen hatchback. The rear seat space will also be good on the Yaris and it will have a large size boot too.
