The Versys has received a good response, first with the 1000cc, so Kawasaki then introduced the 650cc and now the 250cc. This will be an ideal bike for touring, and will be competing with the likes of Royal Enfield and somewhat the Mahindra Mojo. What will the new Kawasaki Versys 250 pack in it? We share all the details.

Kawasaki Versys 250 Design

In terms of styling, the Versys 250’s design will be derived from the Versys family. This will be the first ever Versys under 500cc.

Its stance won’t be let the 650cc or 1000cc. This will be much smaller and lighter body. A tall windscreen, high seating position and a ground clearance of about 170mm will be carried forward. The bike won’t be that long, this should be about 2100mm.

The chassis will be lighter as this is a smaller engine and smaller tyres too. The Versys 250 will have a lot of similarities to that of the 650, however this time it will get green and black colour options mostly. The only black will also be offered on the Versys.

Kawasaki Versys 250 Engine

The twin cylinder 250cc engine is being used by Kawasaki at the moment on the Z250. We believe they could get the Versys 300 as it is also available on the Ninja 300. With the 300cc engine, it will be competing with more bikes. The twin cylinder engine will give Kawasaki an advantage over the competition. The Versys will have a six-speed transmission.

The power and torque of this engine will be a lot different from the sporty 250 and 300cc Kawasaki engines on offer. These will be more torquey and lesser bhp. These engines have been designed for cruising.

Kawasaki Versys 250 Price

This will be key. As this is a two cylinder engine, the price will be about INR 3.5 lakhs (on-road). But this will be a great option to consider. As there is a need for such a bike and at the moment, no company has a bike that fulfills this. If one compares the price with engine displacement, then maybe no. But with regards to performance, the price is certainly justified.
