Hyundai Celesta is a new sedan in the making, which will be priced in between the Verna and the Elantra. This new sedan has ben spotted in China. Will it make it to India? Is there a market for it? Will buyers be considering a new segment between the Verna and the Elantra? We aren’t sure about that, but the Celesta will make it into production for China for sure.

Hyundai Celesta Design

If we look at the design of this new sedan, it follows the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0. There is a glimpse of Verna at the front. There are some design cues that even similar to the Elantra. This does look like a bigger Verna. The fog lamps are surrounds by chrome that continues on to the side of the front grille as well. The side profile is very much similar again.

This sedan is about 50mm longer than the Verna and about 25mm shorter than the Elantra. Hyundai is looking at filling all the possible gaps in this segment, as buyers who cannot afford a higher variant of the Elantra could consider this. From the rear, it is identical to the new Verna. We haven’t seen how the Verna will look in India, but it will be rather similar.
