Most Luxurious Japanese 7-Seater At The Price Of Innova

The Toyota Innova has been one of the most popular seven-seaters in India, offering assured reliability along with a spacious and comfortable cabin. The Innova Hycross offers a slightly more premium cabin experience than the older models. However, at just Rs. 28 lakh, if you want a very rare and luxurious seven-seater without compromising on reliability, we have just the perfect option for you – a flagship Toyota seven-seater that was never on sale in India! Here’s a look.

If we say flagship Toyota seven-seater, the Vellfire may come to mind, but this model is even more special. It is the Toyota Alphard, one of the rarest Toyotas to spot in India. We have found a 2011 Toyota Alphard, priced at just Rs. 28 lakh – essentially at the price of a brand-new mid-spec Innova Hycross. What makes this flagship Toyota quite rare is that the Alphard was never really on sale in India, and the examples we see were imported from Japan.

The example we found is actually a 2011-registered model converted into a 2019 Alphard, thanks to a full body kit and a slew of interior modifications that give it a fresher design. With these upgrades, this particular model looks almost identical to the 2019 model. The design of this luxury seven-seater helps it stand out on the road, especially with the chrome trim and its sheer size. However, the highlight of the Alphard is the interior. So, let’s take a look at what you get to experience as you step inside this Alphard.

The owner has installed two new recliner seats, which are electrically adjustable with heating, ventilation, and massaging functions. These recliners also get an electrically extendable under-calf support for a full lounge experience. This Alphard gets full leather upholstery all around the cabin, giving it a fresh new look.

Moreover, this car gets a slew of features like a three-zone automatic climate control, two sunroofs, a 360-degree camera, and much more. The owner has installed a skylight, two massive entertainment screens, wooden flooring with ambient lighting and an upgraded headliner. All of these features and upgrades combined will allow for a very comfortable ride. Powering the Alphard is a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine producing 220 bhp and 304 Nm of torque, along with AWD. This engine was not designed for maximum performance but for a smooth and refined driving experience.

So, at Rs. 28 lakh, this Alphard offers so much more than you get from a new mid-spec Innova Hycross. But is it worth buying? Well, maybe. We say this because it is almost a 15-year-old MPV that has been modified. Moreover, being a proper luxury seven-seater, maintenance with barely any parts readily available anywhere in India could become quite a difficult task. However, if you are a fan of rare Japanese cars and are looking for a very unique and luxurious car for your garage, this is an amazing choice considering the design, interior and features on offer.
