New Hyundai 7-seater Coming To India

Some time back, Hyundai announced that it would expand its portfolio with new launches. One of them is expected to be its flagship Palisade SUV, which will directly take on the Toyota Fortuner in India. Most buyers look for SUVs that offer a strong road presence, and the Palisade is a really big-looking, muscular SUV, currently on sale in international markets. So, this could eventually be a premium alternative for Fortuner buyers in India.
The Palisade is expected to get a next-generation update internationally. And Hyundai is most likely to bring the new-gen Palisade to India. So, we expect the Palisade to arrive no earlier than 2028.

Interior

Hyundai’s flagship offers a premium cabin. In terms of features, it could get a dual-screen setup (for infotainment and instrumentation), a 360-degree camera, Level 2+ ADAS, powered and ventilated front seats, wireless charging pad, electric boss mode, HUD, and more. The Palisade is a five-metre-long SUV, which means good cabin space, especially for the third row occupants.

Talking about the powertrain, currently the Palisade equips a 3.5-litre V6 petrol (mated to an 8-speed AT) and a 2.5-litre petrol hybrid (mated to a 6-speed AT). The SUV also gets an AWD drivetrain option. It is likely that the Indian-spec will be offered with the hybrid option only.
