Upcoming Hyundai SUV: What We Know So Far

Exterior elements, like the alloy wheels and other elements, help identify it as a Hyundai product. While the brand has not revealed anything yet, this new product is expected to be positioned in the sub-4m compact SUV segment—the same segment as the Hyundai Venue. To avoid redundancy, the Korean automaker might offer only an electric powertrain in this new boxy SUV, as the Venue serves as the ICE derivative in the segment.
Now, Kia recently launched the Syros EV. And given the prototype’s boxy proportions, it could be Hyundai’s Syros EV counterpart. However, this is not confirmed yet. It could carry over the equipment suite from the Syros EV. In terms of features, we expect the Hyundai SUV to get a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a 12.3-inch infotainment unit, automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charging pad, a premium sound system, an ADAS suite, six airbags, and more.

The Kia Syros EV comes with two battery packs on offer – 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. The same battery packs are also available in the Creta EV. While the Hyundai EV could get the same features as the Syros, the battery packs are expected to differ. For this EV, Hyundai might bring in the battery packs from the Inster (its international EV model) – a 42 kWh and 49 kWh. Expect the model to deliver a range of nearly 400-450 kms on a single charge.
