Kia has already confirmed that its flagship seven-seater SUV, the Sorento, is heading to India. In fact, select dealerships have already begun accepting unofficial bookings, hinting at an imminent launch. Now, ahead of its official debut, fresh spy shots have been caught revealing the SUV’s interior for the first time. Here’s a closer look.

Kia Sorento Spotted: Interior Details Revealed
The Sorento spotted was heavily camouflaged, but the design element stretching from the front fender to the door gave away the SUV’s identity. While the exterior remained well concealed, the cabin was left exposed enough to reveal several key details about the upcoming SUV.
At first glance, the dashboard follows Kia’s latest design philosophy. Dominating the cabin is a large curved display that integrates the digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system into a single panel. Moreover, the SUV also gets Kia’s two-spoke steering wheel.
The centre console houses a rotary gear selector, carried over from the global model. It also gets multiple physical controls, a drive mode selector, dual cupholders and wireless charging.
The spy shots also confirm captain seats for the second row, indicating that the India-spec Sorento could be offered in both six-seat and seven-seat configurations. The rear passengers also get dedicated AC vents and USB charging ports. Another key highlight is the inclusion of powered boss mode for added comfort. Overall, the cabin appears premium and upmarket.

What Else?
Based on the spy shots and the international-spec model, the Sorento is expected to come loaded with features such as a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated and powered front seats, a 360-degree camera, a Level-2 ADAS suite and a premium sound system. However, Kia is yet to reveal the final list of features of the India-spec model.
The India-spec Sorento could be powered by a 1.6-litre strong-hybrid turbo-petrol engine paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Kia Sorento Spotted: Expected Launch & Price
The new Kia Sorento is expected to make its India debut sometime in September 2026. The SUV will most likely be locally assembled, which should help Kia price it competitively. We expect the Sorento to be priced between Rs. 45 lakh and Rs. 55 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
