The Mahindra Scorpio N is expected to receive a mid-life update in August. The updated SUV has already started reaching dealerships, and our sources suggest its bookings might begin in the first week of August.

With the update, the model will receive new features, including a new 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a new instrument console, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, a 65W Type-C charging port, ADAS, and more. While it will get several changes inside, the exterior design will be similar to the outgoing model.

Mahindra could also go a step further and launch a new all-wheel-drive (AWD) version of the BE 6. It could also be a new edition (Rall-E) altogether. Apart from the new feature additions, we don’t expect any changes in the underpinnings or the battery pack options.

Cars Launching In August: Kia Sorento

Expected Price: Rs. 45-55 Lakh (on-road, Mumbai)

Kia is also expected to launch its new seven-seater SUV this month. Going up against the Toyota Fortuner, the Kia Sorento will be a more feature-loaded alternative. We had earlier reported that several Kia dealerships had unofficially started accepting offline bookings for the model.

The Kia Sorento will be the brand’s first hybrid SUV in India. The powertrain details aren’t revealed yet, but we expect it to use the brand’s 1.6-litre turbo petrol hybrid setup. The Sorento is offered with front-wheel drive (FWD) and AWD options in international markets. In India, we expect it to be offered with the AWD option as standard.

Skoda is set to launch the Slavia facelift on August 18. With the update, the Slavia will see several changes. On the outside, it will include a new front grille with integrated LED lighting, revised front and rear bumpers, and new headlamp and taillamp units. The updated sedan will also get new alloy wheels.

Inside, the updates could bring a new 10.25-inch driver’s display, and it could also get a new interior theme. Other notable feature additions could be the rear massage seats, as seen on the Kushaq. Even with the update, the Slavia will continue with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre turbo petrol engines; however, a new eight-speed torque converter gearbox could replace the outgoing six-speed AT.
