Upcoming Nissan 7-Seater SUV: Design

Nissan has not yet revealed any design details of its upcoming seven-seater SUV. We expect the model to carry over the design cues from the brand’s flagship SUV, the Nissan Patrol. Nissan is already promoting the Tekton as the baby Patrol, and the same strategy could be applied to the seven-seater.
This new SUV will obviously be longer than the Tekton to accommodate up to seven occupants. The details are yet to be revealed, but the SUV could boast a length of 4.5-4.6 m.

Tech Features

This upcoming Nissan 7-seater SUV could carry over the feature suite from the Tekton, which is quite a loaded SUV in terms of features – it gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging pad, powered and ventilated front seats, and more.
Along with these, the seven-seater SUV could get more features dedicated to the third-row passengers, like AC vents and Type-C charging ports.

Safety Features
The Nissan Tekton secured a full 5-star safety rating in the BNCAP crash tests. Now, the upcoming seven-seater model based on the Tekton could achieve the same feat. Moreover, the SUV will also boast several safety features, including six airbags (standard), a 360-degree camera, Level-2 ADAS, an electronic parking brake, front and rear parking sensors, and more.

Powertrain

The Nissan Tekton-based seven-seater SUV is likely to get the same engine options as the Tekton. This includes a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine (100 bhp & 166 Nm) and a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine (163 bhp & 280 Nm). However, being a longer SUV than the Tekton, the 1.0-litre engine might feel underpowered. Hence, Nissan could also include the 1.8-litre NA petrol hybrid engine (160 bhp & 172 Nm) from the Renault Duster, which is not available on the Tekton.

Expected Launch Timeline & Pricing

If our assumption is right, we could see the Tekton seven-seater enter showrooms by early 2027. Nissan is expected to price this SUV quite competitively. That said, we expect it to be priced between Rs. 17 lakh and Rs. 28 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
