Kia Syros EV Range and Battery Options

The Syros EV will go on sale with two battery pack options (Nickel Manganese Cobalt, or NMC, batteries): a 51.4 kWh Extended Range unit and a smaller 42 kWh unit. With the former, the Syros EV has a claimed ARAI-certified driving range of 526 kms, and a claimed 443 km range with the latter. These numbers are impressive, to say the least. In fact, the Syros EV could be the only EV in its segment to offer a 500+ km driving range.

The Syros EV also supports DC fast charging. With a 100-kW charger, the 10%-80% charge time is pegged at just 39 minutes. There is also a ‘Battery Conditioning’ feature that optimises battery temperature for faster DC charging. As standard, the Syros EV comes with 10.8 kW onboard AC charging capacity.

In terms of premium features, there’s a 60:40 split rear seats with slide and recline, front (seat and back) and rear ventilated seats (seat only), a four-way powered driver’s seat, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient mood lighting, dual-camera dashcam, multiple USB Type-C charging ports including a new 100 W front USB-C charger, among others. The Syros EV also gets a Level-2 ADAS suite with 16 autonomous functions.

The Syros EV will be available in seven variants across two battery pack options: HTK, HTK+, and HTX with the 42 kWh battery pack, and HTK+ ER, HTX ER, HTX+ ER, and X-Line ER with the Extended Range battery option.

There are nine exterior colours to choose from — Glacier White Pearl, Frost Blue, Gravity Grey, Pewter Olive, Magma Red, Ivory Silver Matte, Ivory Silver Gloss, Aurora Black Pearl and, for X-Line ER: Xclusive Matte Graphite & Aurora Black Pearl. Ownership Incentives

To make its newest EV offering more attractive to prospective or first-time electric vehicle buyers, Kia is offering ownership incentives with the Syros EV, including a 15-year battery warranty, an assured buyback program, and a battery subscription scheme.

Moreover, Kia’s EV charging ecosystem, K-Charge, offers access to over 20,300 charging points across 23 charge point operators. They can be used and paid for via a single wallet on the MyKia app.
