The Toyota Innova has been one of the brand’s most successful products in India, and it continues to be so with the Hycross. And now, a test mule of the Innova Hycross has been spotted testing, hinting at an impending update. The popular 7-seater comes with a great suite of features, a comfortable cabin, and a fuel-efficient engine. However, it looks like the Japanese brand will be offering more features to the MPV. The test mule was heavily camouflaged, revealing little to no details.

However, we believe Toyota will offer a new grille, as the MPV’s side profile shows a boxy, upright front fascia with no ridges. We expect to see new taillights, possibly connected taillights. Moreover, Toyota could offer a revised front and rear bumper, upgraded headlights, and a new set of alloy wheels. Now, let’s dive into what else the Innova Hycross facelift could offer.

What To Expect?

The Innova Hycross facelift could bring in a few new features. It is likely that the dashboard design and overall layout will remain as they are. However, much like the new Hilux, we could expect to see a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen and a fully digital instrument cluster. We can also expect to see rear ventilated seats in the top-spec model. Toyota could also upgrade the ADAS from Level 2 to Level 2+, for better safety and convenience. Other existing features are expected to remain unchanged. On the powertrain front, Toyota is expected to introduce a flex-fuel version of the Innova Hycross, compatible with E85 and E100 fuels.

Apart from that, the engine options are expected to remain unchanged. Industry sources suggest that Toyota could introduce a lower-spec variant of the Innova Hycross to replace the Innova Crysta, which is expected to be discontinued in 2027. However, as Toyota recently updated the Crysta for the 2026 model year, the Innova Hycross might remain the premium alternative, while the Crysta will continue to be offered to fleet operators. With the updates, the new Innova Hycross could carry a price tag ranging from Rs. 24 lakh to Rs. 41 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
