New Volkswagen 7-Seater Launch: What The Teaser Reveals

The teaser reveals the exterior of the lower-spec Tayron – the design, however, is identical to the R-line model. It features a projector LED unit, a connected light bar, and an illuminated VW logo at the front. What’s not shown is the grille and the front bumper, which are expected to differ from the R-Line version, adopting a simpler design.

Another differential between this and the sportier R-Line version will be the alloy wheel design. But the exact wheel size hasn’t been confirmed yet. The sporty version equips 19-inch alloy wheels. The 7-seater features connected LED taillights with an illuminated VW logo. Similar to the front, the rear bumper is expected to differ from the R-Line model.

VW Tayron Interior & Powertrain

The teaser also gives a glimpse of the interiors; it gets a dual-tone upholstery, which is very unlike the R-Line’s all-black theme. Apart from that, the SUV is expected to be equipped with features including a 15-inch infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, an 11-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a Head-Up Display, 9 airbags, Level 2 ADAS, and more.
The brand has not yet revealed anything about the powertrain; we expect the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine (201bhp & 320Nm), paired with a 7-speed DSG, to do the job on this SUV too.
