Mahindra BE 07 Launch – Range Rover-inspired Design
The Mahindra BE 07 was spotted some time before – and it is different from the BE 6. The prototype ditches the sporty design of the BE 6 and is even larger than its sibling. Even after it is longer, it will be a 5-seater model, not a 7-seater with a more traditional SUV body style.
The SUV gets an upright front fascia, raked windscreens at the front and rear, and a flat roofline. The silhouette seems inspired by the Range Rover Evoque. Well, that’s something every automaker is now planning to do – get a design similar to the bigger cars. Apart from that, the SUV also has flush-door handles and aero-optimised alloys. The design resembles the XEV models more than the BE 6. The longer design suggests that it will rival the Tata Harrier EV and also its sibling, the XEV 9e.

Features
The feature suite will most likely be similar to the BE 6, which includes a sporty interior, a dual-screen setup with wireless connectivity, auto park, a Harman Kardon sound system, a fixed glass roof, AR HUD, dual wireless charging, dual-zone AC, multicolour ambient lighting, and more. To maintain its sportiness, Mahindra could eventually offer an aviation-inspired cabin theme, which would help it stand out compared to the XEV model.

AWD Capability
One of the standout features could be the inclusion of dual motors, which will enable an AWD configuration. Currently, none of the Mahindra electrics come with an AWD setup, while rivals like the newly launched Tata Sierra and the Tata Harrier do. Apart from that, Mahindra could continue with the 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh battery pack setup – with the 79kWh battery pack having the AWD configuration.

Advanced Safety
In essence, this Mahindra SUV isn’t expected to compromise on anything. We expect it to feature 7 airbags as standard, Level 2+ ADAS, auto park assist, regen modes, drive modes, a 360-degree camera, and more.

Mahindra BE 07 Launch & Price
Speaking of launch and price, we expect the Mahindra BE 07 to launch by late 2026 or early 2027 – Mahindra could eventually plan to launch this SUV at the upcoming Auto Expo in 2027. Price-wise, this Mahindra might eventually compete with the XEV 9e, which has a price range of Rs 22 lakh to Rs 32 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), with the maximum prices being charged for the AWD variant.
