Mahindra BE 07 Spotted Testing – Design Inspired By Range Rover SUV

The newest addition to Mahindra’s electric lineup will look less like a sporty SUV, like the BE 6, and more like a premium Range Rover-like SUV. That’s what the spyshots actually suggest. The SUV was fully camouflaged, but we can sense that it will boast a premium, modern look that appears to be inspired by the Range Rover models.

The front features sharp LED headlamps with C-shaped LED DRLs and a chunky bonnet. The spy shots design resembles the concept model of the BE 07, which was showcased some time ago. Moving to the sides, we can see the addition of frameless door handles, which will be the unique thing in this SUV compared to other electric Mahindra SUVs. Also, it gets Range Rover-inspired flush-type door handles. Apart from that, we can also expect this SUV to ride on 18-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels. Just like the concept model, the SUV will boast a sloping roofline.

At the rear, the SUV features vertically oriented LED taillights a short rear windshield, and a large tailgate. While the BE 6 features a sporty stance, this new BE 07 will be more of a premium SUV from Mahindra.

Interiors

Unfortunately, the spyshots don’t reveal anything about the model’s interior. While it is not like the BE 6, we don’t expect the aeroplane-type cabin theme. However, we expect this SUV to offer a premium suite of features on the inside, too. That said, the feature suite could include a triple-screen setup – like the Mahindra XEV 9e and 9s, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system, Level 2+ ADAS, auto park assist, 7 airbags, dual-zone climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, multi-colour ambient lighting, wireless charging pads, electronic parking brake, powered and ventilated front seats and more. Like the other Mahindra SUVs, the chances of having a powered tailgate look slim.

Powertrain

The powertrain details about this SUV haven’t been revealed yet. However, we expect the same 59 kWh, 70 kWh, and 79 kWh battery packs to be equipped with this SUV. To make this more interesting, Mahindra could also offer a dual-motor, AWD configuration – which is currently offered in the Tata Sierra EV and the Tata Harrier EV to make it stand out.

Mahindra BE 07 Spotted Testing – Launch & Price

Mahindra has not yet revealed the launch timeline for this SUV, but as this test mule looks more like a final production unit, we can expect it to launch by the end of 2026 or early 2027. Talking about the pricing, this new Mahindra SUV could be priced between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 30 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) – and serve as an premium alternative to Mahindra’s sporty electric SUV in India.
