Tata Sierra.ev Launched
Tata has officially launched the Sierra.ev at a price of Rs 19.73 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), with the top variant priced at Rs 27.30 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). It is offered in 5 variants: Pure, Pure S, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered A. The Sierra EV is available in 7 colours: Rishikesh Rapids, Nainital Nocturne, Pristine White, Andaman Adventure, Pure Grey, Coorg Clouds, and Bengal Rouge. Bookings for the Sierra EV have commenced, and deliveries are set to start from 15 July 2026.
Looks
The blacked-out B-pillars, which mimic the Alpine windows of the Sierra from the 90s, are a distinct feature that gives the car its identity. But that is where the resemblance to the original Sierra ends. The EV bears a strong resemblance to its combustion-propelled counterpart. The slim lighting setup, boxy stance, and upright bootlid are design elements shared by both vehicles. However, a couple of aesthetic cues set the two apart. The closed-off front grille, revised front bumper, and the QWD badges (yup, it gets AWD) are some elements that set it apart.

Tata Sierra.ev – Interior
Its equipment list is identical to that of the ICE-Sierra. This means that it gets –

As far as practicality is concerned, the Sierra.ev boasts a solid 622-litre boot and a 55-litre frunk. Tata also claims that the Sierra.ev gets a segment-best cabin space.

Powertrain
The Sierra.ev is offered with 2 battery packs – 63kWh and 75kWh. It shares its Acti.ev+ platform with the Harrier.ev. The claimed range figures for the battery packs are 565 km (440-460 km C75 range) and 665 km (510-530 km C75 range), respectively. Moreover, you can charge it from 20% to 80% in just 26 minutes with a 120kW fast charger. These numbers seem decent, and yet aren’t the main talking point of the EV. The Sierra.ev gets QWD (Tata’s term for AWD) and is the reason for all the buzz.
The QWD or dual-motor setup will be available on the larger 75kWh pack. The QWD variants produce 313 bhp & 504 Nm. As far as power is concerned, it blows away its rivals like the Maruti e Vitara, Hyundai Creta electric and the Mahindra BE6 out of the water. In fact, it sprints from 0- 100 km/h in a mere 5.8 seconds.
