Skoda Kylaq – What’s New?

The Czech automaker has been trying out several new things. Now, the automaker is expected to offer the most demanded powertrain with the Kylaq. Yes, we are talking about the inclusion of a CNG option. Several automakers have already seen the surge in demand for CNG cars and have introduced that powertrain with their models. Now, the Skoda is also expected to feature this powertrain.
Skoda had already suggested that the CNG powertrain with the Kylaq is under evaluation. The platform supports this fuel type and eventually can also be offered with the Kushaq and Slavia if things go well with the Kylaq. However, there’s no clear information stating when the Kylaq CNG could launch.

About The Skoda Kylaq CNG

Skoda is expected to include only the CNG powertrain with the model, and nothing else can be added. One more interesting thing is that the Skoda Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, and the same engine is expected to be paired with CNG. With that, the Kylaq will join the Tata Nexon by offering a turbo-petrol with a CNG option. However, the brand has yet to reveal more information about its CNG powertrain.
Rumours also suggest that Skoda is planning to bring strong-hybrid and mild-hybrid powertrain options to India if demand for such powertrains increases. This new powertrain will help the brand better comply with RDE norms while also enhancing the overall fuel efficiency of its models.
