Upcoming Tata SUV –

The Tata Avinya X concept was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. It boasted a large coupe SUV design with a muscular, premium look. The striking design was enough to catch the attention, and it also had a high ground clearance. The concept model was wearing a two-tone colour scheme throughout, including on the wheels.

The premiumness extends to the interior; the Avinya features a floating central infotainment screen and a slim band on the dash that serves as instrumentation. The infotainment screen looks very similar to the Range Rover SUV. The dash is quite minimalistic. Other prominent features expected on the production-spec model include a glass roof, wireless phone chargers, multi-zone auto AC, Level 2+ ADAS, ventilated front and rear seats, powered front seats, and more.

According to a recent update from Autocar, Tata will be using the Freelander-JLR platform for the Avinya models. Earlier, these models were expected to use JLR’s EMA platform. The new platform is expected to shorten development timelines, improve cost competitiveness and bring its premium EV plans to market faster. However, the model’s specifications are not out yet, but expect it to have a large battery pack option delivering a range of at least 550 km, along with fast-charging capability. The platform can be configured with multiple battery pack options.
