New Toyota 7-Seater – Launch & Price

Toyota has not revealed any specific launch timeline for its upcoming 7-seater SUV. However, we expect the model to be launched by mid or second half of 2027. Moreover, it will be an electric-only model, so expect pricing to be more or less similar to the Toyota Innova, and it will eventually be sold alongside the hybrid model. That said, we expect the model to be priced between Rs 27 lakh and Rs 37 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Features

Being its first electric 7-seater, we don’t expect Toyota to compromise on any features. Moreover, we expect the feature list to be carried over from the Toyota E-bella. So, the list includes a twin-screen setup, Level 2 ADAS suite, 7 airbags standard, 360-degree camera, JBL premium audio system, wireless charging pad, sunroof, powered & ventilated front seats, sliding and reclining rear seats, and more.

Styling

The Toyota 7-seater is yet to be spotted testing; however, being an electric model, expect it to feature modern EV-like styling. Toyota could go with a design like the E-bella, or, eventually, to boost sales, an Innova-like design with a closed grille could also make sense. Moreover, the 7-seater will be built on the e-heartect platform, which is underpinned by the e-Vitara. So, the interiors will also be more or less similar to the model.

Comfort

Toyota’s Innova is already popular for being one of the most spacious MPVs in the segment. Toyota is expected to apply the same theory to its newest 7-seater. Moreover, the Maruti 7-seater spotted testing is larger than the e-Vitara, suggesting the 3-row model will have enough space for comfortable seating for 3-row passengers.

Moreover, Toyota’s version of the Maruti e-Vitara is slightly longer than the Maruti SUV. So, eventually, the 7-seater could also be a bit longer than the Maruti version.

Powertrain

The model’s powertrain details have not yet been revealed. However, we expect it to be offered with two battery pack options from the Ebella: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. Moreover, the 7-seater could also be offered with an AWD setup. Being a 7-seater, the total range might take a hit; however, we would need to wait for the final claimed range figures to be revealed by the brand.
