Everyone loves an all-rounder bike – a bike that is capable of touring, off-roading, commuting and a few high-speed runs. And in the Indian motorcycle landscape, ADVs are currently seeing the highest demand, and we all love them for their all-round capabilities, and every bikemaker is trying to enter this segment to make the most out of this demand. Isn’t it surprising that Bajaj has not yet entered the ADV segment of bikes, while brands under Bajaj like KTM and Triumph are thriving in those segments? Well, that will soon change, as a new Bajaj ADV was spotted on the streets. Now, we can confirm it is a Bajaj because of the signature Pulsar taillights. However, apart from that, the test mule bears a hefty camouflage, revealing little to no details. The test mule seems to sport an “Enduro” bike-like stance, with a large front beak.

The ADV gets a tall, flat bench seat, an upright riding posture, and a top-box. From the video, we can confirm that this enduro-style bike gets spoke wheels, which we believe are tubed and not tubeless. As we don’t see an exhaust, it is safe to say that the ADV will get an under-belly exhaust setup as seen in many Bajaj bikes and KTM ADVs. Which brings us to the important bit – which engine could this be?

Well, from the size and dimensions of the bike in this video, we expect this to be a 200-250cc ADV. We believe that Bajaj is looking to take on the affordable ADV segment and rival the sole bike in that category, the Hero Xpulse 210 and 200. Bajaj has always been synonymous with affordability, and entering the already competitive ADV market with a bigger bike wouldn’t be in the brand’s best interest, considering that segment is already dominated by the KTM ADVs. Instead, we believe that this ADV will borrow the engine from the Pulsar NS200.

Bajaj will likely offer the 199.5cc engine producing 24.13bhp and 18.74Nm of torque along with a 6-speed gearbox. However, as this will be an ADV, we believe Bajaj will tune the engine accordingly to suit the bike’s character. We expect to see features like USD forks, switchable dual-channel ABS, a digital instrument cluster, traction control, all-LED lighting and much more. Baja could launch the ADV by 2027 and price it around Rs 1.80 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
