2016 Honda Activa-i launched for INR 56,000 (on-road)

Adding to its youthful appeal and freshness, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd (HMSI) launched three new colours of Activa-i. The personal compact scooter receives a refreshing twist and is Honda’s seventh new model of 2016. The new Activa-i is aimed at extending the legacy of brand ‘Activa’ and its leadership in the automatic scooter segment. 2016 Honda Activa-i has been launched for INR 56,000 (on-road, Mumbai). The new Activa-i hs been refreshed an array of new colours. 

Speaking as the dispatches for the new Activa-i commenced, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd said, “In line with our strategy to surprise our customers by adding freshness to our products regularly, the 2016 Activa-i is Honda’s seventh new model of 2016. With this, we are confident of driving rapid scooterization of two-wheeler industry. What is new in the scooter is only the new colour options.

2016 Honda Activa-i Colours

Besides the new colours Pearl Trance Yellow and Candy Jazzy Blue, the standard variant of new Activa-i will be available in Pearl Amazing White and Black.  In addition to Orchid Purple Metallic and Pearl Amazing White the Deluxe variant will be available in the new exciting Imperial Red metallic colour also.

2016 Honda Activa-i Top Speed

The top speed of the Activa-i is about 85km/hr. However, we recommend not to cross 75km/hr, as it isn’t very safe.

The company claimed mileage for the Honda Activa-i is 60km/l.

2016 Honda Activa-i Engine

The 110cc engine is a single-cylinder, air-cooled one that produces 8bhp of power and the maximum torque is 8.74Nm. This comes with a CVT (automatic) and is the only transmission used on all new scooters in India. As the Activa-i has a fibre body and the same Activa engine, it has much better performance and it does feel a lot more peppy too.
