2017 Range Rover Sport Facelift Price, Release Date, Features

Range Rover Sport was launched in 2013 and it is due for a facelift and it will be called as 2017 Range Rover Sport. The sales of this SUV are on the rise but Land Rover will not want to be caught napping and hence the facelift version of the new Range Rover Sport is on its way. The previous generation was based on the Discovery platform and this time it is based on the Range Rover chassis. 

2017 Range Rover Sport Price

There won’t be a major change in the price of the Range Rover Sport. The 3.0-litre V6 petrol in the United States will be coming for $65,000, while in UK it will come for £63,000. There won’t be a major change in the pricing at least not for the base variants.

2017 Range Rover Sport Variants

The mid-size SUV will be offered with HSE, HSE Dynamic, Autobiography Dynamic and SVR variants.

2017 Range Rover Sport Release Date

Expect the new Rangie Sport to be revealed by late 2016. This will be coming to the States and Europe by early 2017, with deliveries coming before March 2017.

2017 Range Rover Sport Engines

For the States, it will be the 3.0-litre V6 supercharged mill, 5.0-litre V8 supercharged petrol and mostly a petrol hybrid too. These will be offered for US and other markets where diesel isn’t sold. For Europe it will be the 3.0-litre V6 diesel, with the hybrid powertrain option, 4.4-litre V8 diesel and the SVR with the 5.0-litre petrol. The new-generation Ingenium engines won’t be coming in anytime soon on the Rangie for the time being. For the time being, they will be coming only in the four cylinder form itself. The SVR will see an enhancement of 25 ponies to 575bhp.

2017 Range Rover Sport Exterior

The 2017 Range Rover Sport will feature a new front grille. There is a multi-strip honeycomb grille that somewhat makes a frowning face. This looks a lot similar to that of the Range Rover Sport SVR, but when you look close enough there is a difference. The Range Rover Sport’s side profile and rear changes haven’t come for testing. These are the initial prototypes and hence it is a bit too large for that. However soon they will be making it into testing as well. Range Rover Sport will get a mid-lifecycle update in 2017.

On looking at the interiors, you do not notice any major upgrade. What has changed is only the new touchscreen system that has grown larger in size. Thats about it. Nothing more to it. From the images, only this can be made out.
