Best-Selling SUV in 2025 

You probably guessed it right. India’s best-selling SUV for the year 2025 is none other than the Hyundai Creta. Amounting to 2,01,122 units sold, the Creta is also the second best-selling car behind the Maruti Dzire. The Hyundai Creta has consistently been in the top 10 best-selling cars’ list for most of the year and was also crowned the best-selling SUV a few times. The Creta has also managed to beat the Tata Nexon, which was the best-selling SUV for the past 3 months, by a very small margin. But how did Creta manage to become the best-selling SUV? Why Is Creta India’s Best-Selling SUV?

Ever since its launch 10 years ago, the Hyundai Creta has been a popular choice for its design, performance and comfort. With the newer models, the number of features and tech gradually increased, and the design language also improved over time. The Creta is a C-segment SUV and rivals the likes of the Maruti Grand Vitara, Tata Curvv, Honda Elevate and a few more. And over the years, the Creta was able to offer a better all-round package at a similar price tag to its rivals. 

In terms of features, the Creta gets a slew of features like a powered driver seat, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, a twin 10.25-inch screen setup and much more. On the inside, the Creta is a great place to be in, with good quality materials all around the cabin and premium fit and finish. Moreover, more people may choose the Creta for its variety of powertrain options. These include a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. And if a buyer wants something different, there is an option for an electric powertrain as well. Priced between Rs 12.84 lakh to Rs 24.50 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), the Creta might just be the best bang-for-buck SUV in its segment.
