2 New Tata SUVs Launched!
We have just completed 8 days of 2026 and have already witnessed back-to-back launches. The year started with the launch of the new-gen Kia Seltos, followed by the Mahindra XUV 7XO & the XUV 3XO EV. New Tata SUVs Launch


Tata Motors had a great ending to 2025 with the launch of the Sierra. And now, the brand has kick-started 2026 with the launches of another two important SUVs. We are talking about the Harrier Petrol & the Safari Petrol! Yes, after a really long wait, Tata Motors has finally launched the two flagship SUVs with a petrol engine. Talking of which, the Harrier Petrol is priced between Rs 15.30 lakh & Rs 29.39 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). On the other hand, the Safari Petrol has been priced between Rs 15.77 lakh & Rs 29.99 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Along with the new engine, the brand has also introduced new features with these SUVs.

New Features

With both the Harrier & the Safari petrol, Tata Motors has introduced a new set of features. Talking of which, these SUVs gets – a 14.5-inch Samsung Neo QLED touchscreen system, front & rear camera washer, memory ORVMs, auto-reverse dip ORVM and digital IRVM with dual-camera recording, among others. Along with that, the brand has also introduced a new Red Dark Edition for both these SUVs.

New Engine

The elephant in the room is the new engine. Both the Harrier & the Safari now offer a new 1.5-litre TGDi engine. It is the same engine that previously debuted with the new Sierra. However, for flagship Tata SUVs, this engine produces 168bhp & 280Nm – slightly more than the Sierra. And similar to the Sierra, the Harrier & the Safari come with a 6-speed MT & a 6-speed AT gearbox options! That said, we have already driven both these SUVs and shared our views!
