New Mahindra SUV Launch

Tata Nexon has been ruling the compact SUV segment in India. What makes the Nexon a successful product is the variety of powertrain options it offers. Right from petrol, diesel & CNG, to an electric avatar. Now, Mahindra has the XUV 3XO to rival the ICE Nexon and the XUV 400 to rival its electric version. However, the XUV 400 never saw the success the brand expected, as it lacked features and felt outdated. But now, Mahindra has decided to take on the Nexon.ev yet again by launching the XUV 3XO EV!

Based on the XUV 3XO, Mahindra has finally introduced its EV version after a long anticipation. Talking of which, the SUV has been launched between Rs 14.75 lakh & Rs 16.43 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Mahindra has launched the XUV 3XO EV in two variants – AX5 & AX7L – both of which can be opted for with or without a 7.2kWh AC charger. So, what does the XUV 3XO EV have to offer?
Design & Features

In terms of design, the XUV 3XO EV is very similar to the XUV 3XO ICE. The major design element that always distinguishes an EV is the closed grille. However, that was seen earlier with the XUV 3XO REVX series. That said, apart from the closed & body coloured front grille, the EV model gets a different design for the bumper & alloy wheels. That said, unlike the XUV400, which measured above 4 metres, the XUV 3XO EV is a sub-4-metre SUV! – On the other hand, the interior is exactly the same as the ICE model & so is the feature list.

Talking of which, the XUV 3XO EV gets features like – a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen system, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, a 7-speaker Harman Kardon Sound System, a panoramic sunroof and a lot more.
New Mahindra SUV Launch – Battery Specifications

The new XUV 3XO shares the same battery pack as the older XUV400! It gets the same 39.4kWh battery pack, paired with an electric motor producing 148bhp & 310Nm of torque. Regarding range, Mahindra is yet to reveal the claimed figure. However, the brand claims the XUV 3XO EV can offer a real life range of up to 285km.
