Tata Sierra Dimensions Compared

To create its own presence in an overcrowded SUV segment, Tata Motors had to do something unique with the new Sierra. So, the brand decided to make it the most spacious SUV in the segment. Below is the table of a detailed comparison of Sierra with all the other rivals.

So, as you can see, the Sierra is larger than all of its rivals in every parameter – except for ground clearance. In fact, its wheelbase is shorter than the bigger – Tata Harrier by just 11mm. So yes, the Sierra is indeed the most spacious SUV in the segment.

Features & Specifications

In terms of features, the Sierra gets – a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen system, a 12.3-inch co-driver touchscreen, a 12-speaker JBL Black sound system, Level 2+ ADAS, an electronic parking brake, adjustable thigh support for front seats and more. 

Also, to make it competitive, Tata Motors has launched the SUV with three engine options – 1.5-litre diesel engine (116bhp & 280Nm), 1.5-litre NA petrol engine (104bhp & 145Nm) & a 1.5-litre TGDi engine (158bhp & 255Nm). The diesel engine comes with 6MT & 6AT gearbox options, the 1.2-litre NA gets 6MT & 7DCA gearbox options, and the TGDi gets only a 6AT gearbox option. It has been priced from Rs 13.50 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), and the rest of the pricing will be announced in early December. So, considering all the factors, will Sierra become the new best-selling Tata SUV?
