Design

Mahindra XEV 9S Rear

Despite sharing some similarities with the XUV700, the upcoming XEV 9S is based on the born EV platform – INGLO. Talking about the SUV, Mahindra has already revealed quite a few things about the model. On the design-front, you will find the XEV 9S sharing similarities with its sibling XEV 9e. The front headlamp setup along with the connected LED DRL on the 7-seater shares similarities with the 9e. On the side, this SUV will share similarities with the XUV700. On the rear, unlike the XEV 9e, the 7-seater model might not get the connected LED bar, rather will feature a taillamp pattern like the XUV700.

Interior & Powertrain

XEV 9e Interior

Mahindra might carry the same interior setup from the XEV9e. We expect the same dashboard layout along with the triple screen display, as it was teased already. The brand has already teased the white interior layout, however some even say that a black upholstery might also be on offer.

XEV 9S Interior

But unlike the 9e, which is a 5-seater SUV, the upcoming XEV 9S will be introduced as a 7-seater SUV. The brand has already teased several interior details which include – sliding and reclining rear seats, powered front seats with ventilation, powered boss mode, spacious boot and frunk storage, panoramic sunroof and more in its package. The full feature list will be confirmed tomorrow at the launch.

Talking about the battery pack options – at present there isn’t any confirmation by the brand. However, we expect the same 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs from the other Mahindra BEVs will be offered with the XEV 9S.
