The new gen Hyundai Venue has been launched in India. Talking of which, Hyundai has launched the new Venue, starting from Rs 9.11 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) for the base – HX 2 (1.2-litre NA petrol with MT) variant.

  • HX 4 (1.2-litre NA petrol with MT) has been priced at Rs 10.15 lakh (on-road, Mumbai)
  • HX 5 (1.2-litre NA petrol with MT) has been priced at Rs 10.55 lakh (on-road, Mumbai)

Prices for the rest of the variants will be announced by 31st of December 2025. The new gen Venue has been launched with 8 broad variants, namely – HX2, HX4, HX5, HX6, HX6T, HX7, HX8, HX10. New colour options for the model include – Mystic Sapphire, Hazel Blue & Dragon Red. So, what do you think about the pricing of the SUV?

New Platform

Before getting to the design highlights – something we already know, let’s talk about the new platform. The outgoing model is based on the brand’s K2 platform. However, the new gen Venue is underpinned by the K1 platform – similar to the Kia Syros and the Hyundai Exter. The switch to the new platform has helped Hyundai to price the new gen Venue competitively & enhance the cabin space. Yes, new gen Venue is taller, wider, and has a longer wheelbase than the outgoing model. Even the boot space has been increased to 375-litres.

Also, the new platform should help the Venue to comfortably secure a 5-star safety rating – similar to the Kia Syros. Hyundai claims the new Venue to be 71% more rigid & crashworthy than the outgoing model. It also gets new safety features like – Level 2 ADAS, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, traction modes, front parking sensors and a 360-degree camera.

The new gen Venue comes with a new design & features. On the outside, it gets a new headlamp design, a new front grille and new bumpers. Overall, the front profile looks very similar to the Hyundai Creta. The side profile sits on new alloy wheels, and overall has a reworked side profile – thanks to bigger dimensions. The rear profile has also undergone a major design change. Some details include – stylish connected LED tail lamps, chunky roof spoiler and aggressively styled rear bumper.

Interior

Similar to the exterior, the interior also gets a major design overhaul. The dashboard layout is all new, with details like a new 4-spoke steering wheel, redesigned AC vents, a new centre console, and a new white & black dual-tone colour theme. Apart from the new design, the new gen Venue also gets an updated feature list. It now gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an integrated aroma diffuser, drive modes, 2-step reclining rear seats, rear window sun shades, a cooled glovebox, an 8-speaker BOSE sound system, and more.

Under the hood, the new gen Venue majorly continues with the same engine options. It continues to offer – a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine (82bhp & 115Nm), a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine (118bhp & 172Nm) & a 1.5-litre diesel engine (114bhp & 250Nm). These engines come with a manual gearbox as standard, while the turbo petrol unit gets a 7-speed DCT option. What’s new is the addition of an option for a 6-speed AT gearbox with the diesel engine.
