Mahindra XEV 9S Teased!

Mahindra has officially teased its first-ever 7-seater electric SUV, the XEV 9S. In the teaser, we were able to capture a few new elements of the SUV. In terms of design, Mahindra has offered a new slatted grille design, new aero-design wheels, slightly reworked LED DRLs, slats on the boot and an XUV700-like silhouette. Moreover, the new 7-seater SUV will be getting a panoramic sunroof, instead of the glass roof seen on the XEV 9e. We also saw new elements like roof rails and a new taillight design to give the XEV 9S a unique identity. These were the only design elements that were revealed in the teaser, and the rest of the design will be unveiled at its launch event on November 26, at Mahindra’s scream electric event.

What Else?

While the design of the SUV is clear from the above picture, we can expect a few tweaks in the production version. Apart from the design, we expect the XEV 9S to be just as feature-rich as its siblings, the XEV 9e and BE 6. Expected features include a triple screen setup, Harman Kardon sound system, 7 airbags, HUD, ambient lighting, dual wireless chargers, powered and ventilated front seats, an ADAS suite and more. We also expect the model to carry the battery pack options from the XEV 9e, a 59 kWh and 79 kWh. However, Mahindra might also offer an AWD configuration, to bring it on par with the Tata Harrier.ev in terms of specs and performance. We expect Mahindra to price the XEV 7e between Rs 23.60 Lakh and Rs 34 Lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
