Upcoming Mahindra SUVs – Thar 3 Door Facelift

The first Mahindra SUV launching in the first week of October 2025 is the Thar 3-door facelift. Mahindra launched the current-gen Thar back in 2021 and has been a hit for the brand. However, it now lacks some of the modern-day features. That said, it is expected that Mahindra will address all the lacking features and launch the 3-door facelift on the 3rd of October 2025! But what exactly should we expect?

So based on the spy shots, we can expect some changes to the exterior of the SUV. This can include minor tweaks to front & rear bumpers, front grille & alloy wheels. Additionally, we can expect the Thar 3-door to get a similar headlamp setup to the Thar Roxx. Rest, it is difficult to speculate anything more as the test model was covered with camouflage. That said, the model was spotted with a bigger touchscreen system – similar to the Roxx. Apart from that, we can expect a few more new features. On the other hand, the engine options will remain the same. The SUV will continue with a 1.5-litre diesel (117bhp & 300Nm), 2.2-litre diesel engine (130bhp & 300Nm) & 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine (150bhp & 320Nm). And yes, it will continue with RWD & 4X4 configurations with an expected price hike of up to Rs 80,000.

Now, we have already spotted both the SUVs on testing and being covered with camouflage, so it is difficult to speculate what changes they will receive. Yet, similar to the Thar facelift, the Bolero & the Bolero Neo may receive some minor tweaks. This should include new bumpers, new alloy wheels & new front grille. That said, it will be interesting to see if Mahindra offers LED headlamps with the Bolero Neo. What about the interior? Well, both the SUVs could receive a new set of features. Having said that, the engine options will be the same.
