Citroen Aircross Safety – 5-Star Rating!
The Citroen Aircross SUV has now earned a 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. Now, the twist is thatthe Citroen Aircross SUV has an option for a 7-seater configuration, but the one tested at BNCAP was a 5-seater version. The SUV scored 27.05 out of 32 points in adult occupant protection and 40 out of 49 points in child occupant protection. Along with this the Aircross becomes the 22nd car to be awarded 5-star safety rating by Bharat NCAP.

According to the reports, this 7-seater SUV’s structure was rated as stable and capable of withstanding further loading. In the frontal and side impact tests, the protection levels for adult occupants were rated as good to adequate across the body regions. In the side pole test, the SUV provided full head protection, thanks to its curtain airbags.
Talking about the safety features, the Citroen Aircross comes with over several safety equipment including six airbags, ESC, hill hold assist, TPMS and others. Moreover, the SUV’s body structure integrates high strength steel, advanced strength steel and ultra high strength steel to offer better protection.

What Else?
Talking about the product, it is the cheapest 7-seater SUV available in India. The SUV competes with Hyundai Creta rivals. The Aircross is available with two engine options – 1.2-litre NA petrol engine (80 bhp & 115 Nm) and 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine (110 bhp & 190 Nm). Currently, the Aircross is priced between Rs 9.92 lakh & Rs 17.17 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
