Nissan has already confirmed that it will be launching two new models in the country. One will be a SUV like the Renault Duster, and the other will be a Renault Triber based 7-seater MPV. Recently, new spy shots of the upcoming Nissan SUV surfaced the internet. Let’s discuss what information it reveals.

New Nissan SUV Spotted – New Details Revealed
A few months back we informed our readers about Nissan being quick on testing its upcoming SUV in India. Now again this new SUV has taken on the roads. That said, we have some new spy shots of the model. The new spy shots showcase the front and rear of this SUV, while the interiors are yet to be revealed. Some of the notable features include LED headlamps and DRLs. The grille is quite wide, it also gets a muscular bumper. So it is safe to expect that it will offer a good road presence.
Some other highlights of the model include – traditional door handles, ORVMs and integrated turn signals, roof rails, shark fin antenna, sporty tail lamps and others in its package.

Interiors & Powertrain
Until now, no spy shots reveal anything about its interior. But as it will be a Duster equivalent, we expect the Nissan SUV to share the equipment list from it. That said, we expect it to get a practical cabin with plenty of storage spaces.
In terms of features, the SUV is offered with – a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, big touchscreen infotainment unit, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, leatherette ventilated seats, powered driver’s seat, dual zone climate control, among others in its package. The new gen model also gets safety equipment like ADAS, 6-airbags, ABS, hill hold, hill descent control, 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake and more in its package.
Being based on the Duster, the Nissan SUV will also share the engine options. Globally, the Duster gets a plethora of engine options, including hybrid & plug-in hybrids. However, for India, we are expecting the Duster or even the Nissan SUV to come with a Mercedes-sourced 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine (150 bhp and 250 Nm).

Launch Details
Till now, the brand has not yet commented about a specific launch timeline for this SUV. However we expect it to be launched by the middle of 2026. Once launched it will rival the likes of Maruti Grand Vitara, Victoris, Skoda Kushaq, Hyundai Creta and others.
