After the launch of two powerpacked Mahindra electric SUVs – the BE6 and XEV 9e, majority of enthusiasts were wondering about the electrification of Mahindra’s premium 7-seater model. It seems, the wait will finally be over in some time – How? Mahindra was recently seen testing both the XEV 7e and the XUV 700 facelift models on Indian roads. Today let’s first talk about the XEV 7e spy shots –

What do the spyshots say? So, the new model will share its design similarities with its other XEV sibling. While the model was fully camouflaged, but even a kid can spot the similarities like the closed out grille and the headlamps positioning. Looking at it from far away? It will look similar to the ICE model, because of the same silhouette design. Additionally, the model sits on new aero styled wheels! Rest all? Majorly similar to its ICE sibling.

Moving onto the inside, Mahindra will keep the premiumness intact. That said, it will carry all the features from the XEV 9e. No! We aren’t just assuming it – but the spy shots reveal the model gets equipped with the triple screen display setup. So, what features will make its way? – a big glass roof (very unlikely to be a sunroof), Powered and Ventilated front seats, electric boss mode, Level 2+ ADAS suite and more. What about the battery packs? Expect it to be the same as the model – a 59kWh and a 79kWh! Thinking about range? Expect a slight dip there too. Pricing-wise, keeping in mind the aggressiveness of Mahindra – we expect it to be priced between Rs 28 lakh and Rs 36 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Expect the premium-ness to be doubled up as it might include all the major features from its electric sibling, also some cosmetic changes on the outside, like a new grille, redesigned headlamps and taillamps, new alloy wheels and other things. Apart from that, the mechanical properties are also expected to be the same as the current one.
